2 BrainstormProposal 1: DefineEdit

The following sections should be part of a typical cause entry:

  • Definition of the cause
  • Why the cause is important
  • Key issues
  • Challenges facing the cause
  • Associated organizations
  • Mirror Causes
  • The cause in the news

3. RefineProposal 1: RefineEdit

  • Do you think there should be a section for tracking progress or showing a timeline? Or is that something that should go in the headquarters? -- Al mackay 11:27, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
  • I'm not exactly sure what you mean ... can you elaborate? -- Chris.crittenden 16:34, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
  • I'm not sure where this fits, but I guess I want to know the status of a cause as well as the issues. I wonder if it would be inspiring to see how people have already had an impact on a cause. Taking fighting Maleria, for example. If I could see that XYZ's efforts have eradicated Maleria in Nigeria and saved X thousand lives (hypothetically, of course), I think I'd be more motivated. I want to join a cause that is going somewhere, that has benchmarks, that can help me see why I need to get involved. And on the flip side, a cause doesn't have to make progress to use a timeline. Maybe they can show how quickly something is degenerating. -- Al mackay 01:37, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
