2 BrainstormProposal 1: DefineEdit

The Discovery Center should have 5 main areas:

  • DYC Test
  • Encyclopedia
  • DYC Commissions - Projects or contests that DYC promotes. These aren't cause specific commissions. Rather, they're ways for causes to encapsulate their message as part of a bigger project. (E.g., DYC could promote a "Local Cause" contest, where collaborators have to search for pictures of their cause in their own back yards. You could get submissions from environmental causes to causes about poverty.)
  • Media Center - A compilation of the art, literature, etc. from past DYC commissions or from the galleries of a cause headquarters.
  • Media Profiler - Sometimes people have already seen something that has moved them. (Maybe they saw Hotel Rwanda or read A Thousand Splendid Suns and they're already motivated!) This area would match existing pieces of work with related causes.

3. RefineProposal 1: RefineEdit

  • Should our collection of white papers from the cause think tanks go here somewhere. Does the Encyclopedia meet the needs for the more cerebral discovery process? -- Al mackay 11:57, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

4. FinalizeFinalizationEdit
